Town of EatoniaThe Town of Eatonia is 44 kilometers southwest of Kindersley at the crossroads of Highways 21 and 44. It was named after Timothy Eaton, Toronto merchant and founder of the Eaton's catalogue and the former Eaton's chain of department stores and to honor his son, Sir John Eaton, a major shareholder in the CNR. The station was originally simply Eaton, but there was a lot of confusion with nearby Eston, so the name changed to Eatonia in 1921 and was incorporated as a town in 1954.
